・AYUMI HAMASAKIKODA KUMI - DEJA VU
01 Prologue to Deja Vu
Reeeally epic introduction. Love how it segues into POP DIVA <3
02 POP DIVA
This song is BEYOND OBNOXIOUS in the best way possible. A+
03 Lollipop
I skipped this song cause it’s not nearly hot enough outside to be listening to it. brb see you in june (but actually, we all know Lollipop is hot booty booty party party A+ etc)
04 Okay
I love it. It reminds me of ‘No Way’ but… not quite as good. But still one of the strongest songs on the album yes <33
05 Aitakute
… Well with a title like that, how can this NOT be a generic-as-ass ballad? BORING
06 Passing By
This is a step in the right direction. Kuu’s R&B Ballads are usually quite win, but the random male voice in this song is so so so unwanted ahh gfto. also she can’t speak or sing english, idk this whole thing just is kind of awkz. I mean it’s still pretty tho.
07 AT THE WEEKEND
I’d say this title is a perfect example of how Kuu can’t speak english but I mean we all know she doesn’t write her own songs soooo. BUT NO this song is okay. It’s not as good as Work it out ngl. WHO’S THE BOSS?
08 Interlude to Dejavu
I just don’t know what it is it’s dejavu drive me crazy tell me did you ever feel like this it’s something you never seen before. this dejavu drives me crazy. DEJAVU
09 Melting
LA LA LA MELTING CHOCOLOOVE. I love it already. This is like Wonderland + Good Day’s lovechild so im pretty sure I’m going to get like eight cavities while listening to it.
10 Hey Baby!
I have been waiting for this song for months. Like actually, the preview was out MONTHS AGO and single after single went by without so much as a hint to Hey Baby! ): But I guess the momentum was built up well enough causeeee (haha i’m actually still listening to Melting while typing this so I can’t say if the wait was worth it yet - just a sec). Okay yes, this song is amazing, but it’s only 2:35, FUCK U KUU BYE
11 Choi Tashi Life
This is really feel-good, really spring-ish. I wanna bike to this song. I like.
12 Anata Dake Ga
One of her best ballads hands down. This song was my ~theme of Autumn ‘10~
13 Suki de, Suki de, Suki de
Also really really good but i’m bored with it after like 6 months
14 BAMBI
OKAY YES HERE WE GO. I’ve had this song stuck in my head for a week straight. FULL VERSION IS AWESOME
15 I Don’t Love You !??
LOL best title. I am 100% sure this was a rejected Namie song. Yeah it’s really not great and a weird choice to end the album with. EHH
- First Song re-listened after the end: Bambi
- Single Tracks: All A+. I was obsessed at one point or another with all of them.
- Album Tracks: A lot of hit and miss but I guess they were Okay (HAHA????? No?) but the best were Bambi, Okay, Hey Baby!, Melting and Choi Tashi Life
- Verdict: QUITE HOT, but not the same WOW WOW YES CRAZY HOT that was UNIVERSE.
~dilemmas~
if you can survive automobile accidents you’re good enough for ayu
(???)
this. this song (/… interlude). i want to be able to play this on the violin. i actually just want a violin, with which I can butcher attempt more ayu songs. then join A Special Strings and tour with her everywhere. oh no my cat’s licking up the ketchup on my plate bye
